Introducing the innovative DWP - Sector Base Work Academy Programme (SWAP) by the University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW), crafted to seize the remarkable career openings at hand.
Tailored for both the unemployed and those seeking a career transition, this program spans two weeks, focusing on honing specific skills crucial for roles within UHBW.
Delivered online, with an added opportunity for on-site hospital visits (work experience), enabling participants to immerse themselves in the work environment, explore the top-notch facilities, and engage with existing staff members.
As part of this experience, participants will all receive a Masterclass Session from UHBW on how to submit a successful application via the NHS Portal for jobs that are available across the Trust. Those who submit a good quality application will receive an interview.

What will I study?
During this engaging 2-week NHS course, we will delve into a diverse array of topics aimed at equipping you for various roles within the NHS. At the end of week 1 you will choose what pathway you would like to train on, depending on your interests and desired job role.
Week 1- All Learners to complete.

Successful Job Applications will then receive an Interview
Alongside the main qualifications (Level 1 Awards in both Health & Care and Infection Control) you will also achieve a Level 1 Certificate Vocational Studies
Progression Opportunities
On successful completion of the course, including all documents and training completed, you will have the confidence and knowledge to submit a job application for a role within UHBW. After you submit your application, UHBW recruitment team will review and complete their checks, if successful you will then receive your interview.
