Digital Skills for Everyday Life
Digital skills for everyday life is designed to help understand some of the basics of using computers and digital devices throughout many different aspects of our lives.
In addition, if you already have some basic I.T skills but would like to grow and develop your confidence further then this would be a great course for you.
Throughout the course you will be able to set goals to help you achieve the following:

Understand some of the basics of using computers and digital devices for everyday tasks.

Understand the basic features of using your Universal Credit journal for communicating your job search progress.

Introduction to using Email and online communication including setting up an appropriate email address and regular use of email

Navigating the internet securely, using the internet for different purposes and staying safe online.

Building confidence when using a Computer Keyboard and navigating and organising files.

Introduction to Microsoft programs including: (Work, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint).
Following this course you will be given the opportunity to progress on to our ‘Digital Skills for Work’ course, which helps to use the skills looked at already and apply them to your next steps when Job Searching. You will also have the opportunity to engage with 1-1 support from the Moving Up program.
