Important Information for Learners - Hot Weather Arrangements
Following the Met Office weather warning and forecasted high temperatures, we are making some temporary changes to teaching arrangements for the remainder of this week to help ensure the comfort, wellbeing, and safety of learners and staff.
Tuesday 23 June
Business as usual – all classes, exams, and activities will continue as normal.
Wednesday 24 June to Friday 26 June
⚠️ Campuses will be closed to curriculum teaching from Wednesday to Friday inclusive.
While lessons will not take place on campus during this period, our campuses will remain open to support essential activity.
What this means for learners
- Exams and assessments will continue as planned, including more than 60 exams and assessments scheduled across the three days.
- Air-conditioned rooms will be prioritised for exams and assessments wherever possible to help ensure a comfortable environment for learners and invigilators.
- Support staff and key college services will remain available, so you can still access guidance and assistance if needed.
- Campus bistros will remain open, providing cold food and drinks throughout the day.
- Learners who are eligible for free meals can continue to access these as normal.
There may be a small number of exceptions where specific curriculum activity continues. If this affects you, your tutor or curriculum team will contact you directly.
