There is also the opportunity for the most gifted athletes at the College to receive a bursary of up to £500 that you could put towards training fees, transport, kit and further sports development.

As well as this, we offer our academy athletes:

  • Bespoke strength and conditioning programmes and training
  • Sport psychology support
  • Flexibility, speed, agility and quickness training
  • Nutritional support and dietary advice

Player pathways

At the Academy of Sport we understand the importance of creating pathways for our athletes. We have developed a number of partnerships that will enable you to progress into semi-professional and professional sport. This can be in both a playing and non-playing capacity, as it provides you with a number of employability opportunities.

Current partnerships include:

  • Bristol Bears Rugby Club
  • Bristol Bears Women’s Rugby Club
  • Weston AFC Football Club
  • Weston Sport Netball

Sports volunteering

Our Sports Academy host development days in October and February to allow prospective athletes to experience all aspects of academy life.
