Electively Home Educated Programme
Electively Home Educated Programme
Our EHE Transition Programme offers a supportive and structured year for Year 11 learners who are electively home educated and looking to build confidence, gain qualifications, and prepare for their next steps in education or training.
What does this course involve?
Designed as a bridge into post‑16 pathways, the programme combines academic learning with personal development and practical life skills. Learners can work towards recognised qualifications including GCSE English and Maths or Functional Skills alternatives, ensuring progression routes remain open and accessible.
Alongside academic study, learners take part in STEPS, our personal development curriculum that builds communication, resilience, teamwork, and independence. All learners also have the opportunity to engage in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, developing leadership, confidence, and community involvement. To further support independence and life readiness, the programme includes budget cookery, helping learners to develop essential cooking skills, make healthy choices, and understand how to plan and prepare meals affordably. Our EHE Transition Programme provides a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where learners can grow academically, socially, and personally—setting strong foundations for success in college, apprenticeships, or future careers.
Entry Requirements
All learner’s are considered on an individual basis and matched to a course that is best placed to meet their needs and support their outcomes.
