Fast, funded training to strengthen your workforce – delivered by Weston College
Apprenticeship Units are a new, flexible way to upskill your workforce quickly – and Weston College has successfully met the national quality requirements to deliver them from April 2026.
Designed for employers who need skills now, Apprenticeship Units provide short, targeted training in priority skill areas, without the time or cost commitment of a full apprenticeship.
If your business is facing skills shortages, technological change or rapid growth, Apprenticeship Units offer a practical, fully funded solution.
What are Apprenticeship Units?
Apprenticeship Units are bite sized programmes developed from full apprenticeship standards. Each unit focuses on a specific occupational skill, giving your staff the expertise they need to perform effectively and confidently in their role.
Training is designed to be applied immediately in the workplace, delivering measurable impact in weeks rather than years.
They are ideal for employers looking to:
- Fill urgent skills gaps
- Respond to new technologies or regulations
- Upskill experienced staff without long periods away from the job
- Strengthen productivity, quality and compliance
