"I have a real interest in machinery and the practical experience you receive in engineering is incredible, whether it's in the machine workshop, the electronics lab or in the composite's lab - which is by far my preferred area as you're able to work with some really cool materials such as reinforced carbon.

I've had 1:1 support from the wonderful staff, which has massively improved my learning. They've also given us some amazing opportunities, for example we attended a design engineering expo in Birmingham, showcasing international companies and some of their innovative technologies and designs, which was an eye-opener!"
