Healthcare Support Worker, Apprenticeship

Upon completion of this apprenticeship, you will be able to demonstrate a range of excellent skills, knowledge, and behaviours in your role as a healthcare support worker. You will be equipped to work as part of a team providing high-quality and compassionate care, carry out well-defined routine clinical duties and prepare individuals for healthcare activities. You will study a range of criteria to complete the apprenticeship, including physiological measurements, health intervention and professional development.

How will I be assessed?

To achieve this apprenticeship, the employer, your assessor and you will agree when you are ready and competent to undertake your independent end-point assessment, which will assess the skills, knowledge and behaviours required for this role.

What could I do after this course?

Upon completion, you may choose to progress to a higher-level apprenticeship such as the Level 3 Senior Healthcare Support Worker. This would enable you to further your professional career development and potentially work toward securing a senior healthcare assistant role.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal qualifications required to enrol onto this apprenticeship. However, you will be assessed to ensure that you can achieve English and maths functional skills to a minimum of Level 1. You must also sit the Level 2 English and maths assessment prior to the completion of your apprenticeship. You will also need to be in relevant employment, but we can help you find this.
