Rack Wiring & Mechanical Assembly Technician Apprenticeship at MICROWAVE AMPLIFIERS LTD
We are looking for an enthusiastic apprentice to join our Assembly team. This is a newly created hybrid role, designed to work across both the Machine Shop and Production departments, adding significant value to the business by supporting and strengthening the connection between the two areas.
In this hands-on role, you will be involved in soldering and assembling electronic components, cables, and sub-assemblies, following technical drawings and detailed work instructions. As part of your training, you will learn how to read and interpret assembly documentation, develop strong hand-soldering techniques, and gain a solid understanding of electronic components and printed circuit board (PCB) assembly.
Working across both departments will provide you with valuable experience of different areas of the business, helping you to develop a broad range of practical and technical skills while contributing to the efficiency and success of the wider team.
Daily Duties:
- Learning hand soldering skills
- Crimping of wires
- Ability to be able to read and follow technical drawings/schematics.
- Loom building
- Learn how to access drawing and kit lists from your computer.
- Basic use of Office 365
- Fault-finding and biasing
- Wiring rack
