Course Overview
The Electrical Trade course is the ideal starting point if you're interested in becoming an electrician or working within the construction industry. Combining classroom learning with practical workshop sessions, you'll gain a solid understanding of electrical installation while developing the hands-on skills employers value.
Based at Weston College's South West Skills Campus, you will learn in industry-standard electrical workshops equipped with professional tools, testing equipment, and installation bays that replicate real working environments. You'll be taught by experienced electrical professionals who will help you develop both the technical knowledge and practical confidence needed to succeed in the industry.
Throughout the course, you'll build a strong foundation in electrical principles, safe working practices, and installation techniques while developing important employability skills including teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and organisation.

What will I study?
You will develop the core knowledge and practical skills required for electrical installation.

Entry Requirements
• GCSE English at Grade 3 or above • GCSE Maths at Grade 3 or above
