Psychology, A Level
You will find out about a variety of psychological approaches including biological, positive and psychodynamic and how they relate to each other.
You will also study key pieces of research and debates covering a variety of perspectives and topics such as criminal behaviour.
This programme also covers how psychological data is collected (through your own research), and will allow you to develop an interest in and enthusiasm for psychology, with opportunities to go on excursions and explore the subject-matter in depth.
How will I be assessed?
All units are assessed at the end of year two through exams.
What could I do after this course?
For many universities, psychology is considered a science, and can be used towards a variety of courses including psychology itself. You could also progress to the degree in BA (Hons) Uniformed and Public Services at University Centre Weston.
Five GCSEs at grade 9-4, including English, and grade 5 or above core and additional science and maths.
