What will I study?

Over the course of 16 weeks, you will cover the fundamentals of bricklaying, such as:

  • Setting out and dry bonding,
  • Cavity walls.
  • Basic Bricklaying Techniques
  • Simple walls In this time, you will also cover:
  • Health and safety practices (NOT A CSCS CARD)
  • Foundation knowledge of construction principles.
  • Guidance towards employment opportunities

Through a combination of practical and theory-based work, you will gain the essential skills and knowledge that are important when working as a bricklayer or progressing in the area.

This is a physically demanding course, which includes lifting heavy materials, as well as bending and kneeling for prolonged periods of time. This course does not give you a license to practice however is a good step into becoming a labourer.
