Maths Functional Skills/GCSE
We offer both Functional Skills Maths and GCSE Maths, with courses designed to build confidence, improve problem-solving skills and develop the mathematical knowledge needed for work, further study and everyday life. Our experienced tutors will assess your current level and recommend the most suitable course for you, whether that's Functional Skills Entry Level, Level 1, Level 2 or GCSE Maths.

Throughout your course, you'll develop practical maths skills and learn how to apply them in real-life situations, helping you become more confident in everyday tasks and the workplace.

- Using whole numbers, fractions, decimals and percentages
- Algebra and mathematical reasoning
- Ratio, proportion and rates of change
- Measures, shape and space
- Geometry and interpreting measurements
- Handling data, statistics and probability
- Reading and interpreting charts, graphs and tables
- Solving practical problems involving money, budgeting and everyday calculations

Following your application, you'll complete a short assessment with one of our tutors to ensure you're enrolled on the course that's right for you.
Assessment
Assessment methods vary depending on the qualification you study.
Functional Skills learners complete assessments throughout the course, while GCSE learners complete calculator and non-calculator examinations. Your tutor will support you throughout your studies with regular feedback, practice activities and revision sessions to help you succeed.
Progression
A maths qualification is highly valued by employers, universities and training providers. Successfully completing your course can help you progress into employment, apprenticeships, higher-level study or further professional development.
