Funded by the West of England Mayoral Combined Authority, this 4-week Skills Bootcamp supports individuals with English as a second language (ESOL) to develop the communication, language, and employability skills needed to start a career in the health and social care sector.

- Medical terminology and conditions (e.g. dementia, diabetes)
- Job descriptions and expectations in care work

- Visits to care settings
- Mock interviews and employer engagement
Assessment method
Formative assessment throughout the course and real employer feedback.

This course is fully funded for eligible learners.
Eligibility
Participants must:
- Be aged 19+
- Be eligible to work in the UK and actively seeking employment
- Be living in the West of England Mayoral Combined Authority (Bristol, Bath, North East Somerset, South Gloucester, or North Somerset)
- Be working at Level 1 in English
- Not have completed another Skills Bootcamp in the same financial year
Delivery Information
- Location: Face-to-face in Weston or Bristol
- Schedule: 3 days per week
- Start Dates: Rolling intakes throughout the year
- Time: Usually 09:30-15:30
