HGV Skills Bootcamps for Employers

We can help you recruit drivers, through our HGV Skills Bootcamp.

Whether you're looking to hire a driver or want to upskill your existing staff, the HGV (LGV) Skills Bootcamp will give your business access to new staff with a Cat C or CE licence, as well as upskilling existing drivers with ADR (Hazfreight).

This bootcamp is aimed at two categories of candidate:

• Individuals who have no, or limited, prior experience of driving HGVs.

• Already qualified HGV drivers who require additional qualifications, such as an ADR licence or wish to upgrade from HGV Cat C to CE.

Where will the Skills Bootcamps take place?

The courses are mostly held at the Construction Training Centre (BS24 7NA), with the on-road driver training element commencing from the CTC and heading to the road around the Bristol MPTC.

How long will the Skills Bootcamps last?

The Skills Bootcamps can last up to 16 weeks dependent on the route you wish to take, this includes learning hours at the centre, on-line learning in your own time and any practical training required dependent on the route you follow.

Are the Skills Bootcamps for beginners?

Yes – if you are interested in gaining an HGV licence but you will need a full car licence.

Will I receive a qualification?

You will complete the LGV Category C, LGV Category CE or even both with the addition of an ADR (Hazfreight) qualification and can also incorporate Driver CPC qualification.

How much will it cost?

We will support you in hiring a candidate after their HGV Skills Bootcamp free of charge.
