Attendance

Each apprenticeship is unique. Some learners can attend workshops or study days, whilst other areas of study conduct their assessments solely in the workplace. Either way, all apprentices sign a Commitment Statement at the start of their programme, as do you. This includes a commitment to outstanding attendance via whichever form of study their apprenticeship standard deems appropriate.

The matrix below therefore provides a useful guide to aid and support those discussions you and the Assessor will have at each formal review regarding the attendance record of your Apprentice. It outlines the percentage equivalents for good, worrying and serious concerns regarding attendance and also reinforces the percentage split for on and off the job training requirement.
