My ID (Individual Development)

Individual development and the growth of both behaviours and attitudes is key to becoming self-aware. We want every apprentice to develop the skills they need to make an impact in both the workplace and beyond, considering new ways of thinking and behaving through their choice and actions. As such, the My ID units have been created to support your Apprentice throughout their learner journey and guide them toward development across a range of mandatory (e.g. cyber health) and optional (e.g. Safeguarding) units. The criteria for each unit has been specifically designed to enable your apprentice to capture not only the diverse range of learning opportunities they may have but also to proactively seek and create new ones.

Every apprentice will need to complete all mandatory units and select two optional units per academic year. The evidence they submit to meet each criteria will be uploaded into their Smart Assessor evidence library for review by their Assessor.

We would welcome any links, documents, clips etc you can provide from a workplace perspective in relation to the units below, so that we can continue to build and develop our resource library for Apprentices current and future in their My ID studies.

Halo workplace logo

Our workplace champions the right of staff to embrace all Afro-hairstyles. We acknowledge that Afro-textured hair is an important part of our Black employees’ racial, ethnic, cultural, and religious identities, and requires specific styling for hair health and maintenance. We celebrate Afro-textured hair worn in all styles including, but not limited to, afros, locs, twists, braids, cornrows, fades, hair straightened through the application of heat or chemicals, weaves, wigs, headscarves, and wraps. In this workplace, we recognise and celebrate our colleagues’ identities. We are a community built on an ethos of equality and respect where hair texture and style have no bearing on an employee's ability to succeed.
