The Newton Room North Somerset

Weston College, in collaboration with Boeing and First Scandinavia, proudly announces the arrival of the Mobile Newton Room North Somerset. From June 10th to June 28th, 2024, the innovative educational initiative will be hosted at Weston College, inviting local schools to experience its cutting-edge STEM environment. 

The mission of the Mobile Newton Room is to bring hands-on learning of STEM subjects to students everywhere. Through quality-assured and curriculum-based teaching modules, young learners of all ages encounter innovative equipment and varied, explorative working methods. Our learning modules engage with real-world challenges, empowering students with 21st-century skills. 

Upon arrival, students will be greeted by specially trained Newton Teachers and flight simulator instructors, ready to guide them through many captivating activities. From coding challenges to robotics experiments, each session promises an enriching experience designed to enhance STEM competencies. 

Located at the South West Skills Campus of Weston College, the Mobile Newton Room is open to students in Years 7-13. Bookings are now open exclusively for schools, with morning and afternoon sessions available from 9:30am to 12:30pm and 1:30pm to 4:30pm respectively. While we strive to accommodate all preferred dates, availability may be limited due to high demand.
