Loxton Campus
Loxton Campus is home to our dedicated Sixth Form centre and the majority of CREATIVE ARTS WESTON.
Loxton Campus was designed to inspire learning and creativity it is linked to the the Sixth Form by a glass covered bridge.
During the annual Creative Arts Summer Show, the campus acts as a blank canvas for our art, design and media students to display their work.
As well as classrooms with all the modern teaching technology you would expect, at Loxton Campus you will find a variety of specialist rooms for music practice and performance, recording and editing, art workshops and studios, as well as suites of computers and Macs.
As a creative student at this campus you will have access to an extensive range of audio and visual equipment to support your learning.
On the top floor of the campus you will find the LibraryPlus, which contains computers and books, and allows you to access a variety of study materials and mentoring.
This campus has a canteen which serves a variety of hot and cold meals as well as serving Costa Coffee.
NEW Podcast & Audio Suite at Loxton Campus
Welcome to the Podcast & Audio Suite at Loxton Campus for our Media students - a next-level space built for students who want to make their ideas sound professional.
This studio is fully sound-proofed, so your voice comes through clean, crisp, and studio-quality every time. At the centre is a sleek podcast table with four RØDE broadcast mics on adjustable arms, plus studio headphones for everyone. Perfect for podcasts, interviews, debates, or group chats that deserve to be heard.
Behind the scenes, pro-level recording gear captures every voice on its own track, giving you real broadcast-quality audio. There’s also a large TV on a movable stand, so you can pull up show notes, run video calls with guests, or display visuals to support your content - however you want to use the space.
And you’re never on your own. A dedicated technician is there to help with setup, sound levels, and recording tips, so you can focus on being creative while learning how a real studio works.
Want to level up your storytelling? The suite also includes a Foley sound effects zone. Think footsteps, background noise, and custom effects you create yourself using different surfaces and props, ideal for podcasts, films, and immersive audio projects.
Whether you’re into podcasting, media, film, or digital storytelling, this is your space to experiment, learn, and sound amazing while doing it.
Loxton Campus facilities
LOCAL AREA
Our Loxton Campus is located on Loxton Road, near Weston General Hospital.
The campus has a bus stop right outside and a few local shops just a 5 minute walk away.
PARKING
Loxton Campus has a free student car park on site. It's located through the main gates of the campus to the right-hand side. The car park can be accessed by students using their College ID badge.
TRAVEL
Loxton Campus is on the main number 7 First Bus route. You can also access the X5 route, although this service does not run as often as the main number 7 route.
Cycle racks are also available on site for you to safely secure your bike.
