200 in 100

Following the success of the previous 100 in 100 campaign we have decided to raise the bar by aiming to encourage 200 employers to pledge to take on an apprentice in just 100 working days.

Throughout the campaign we will be showcasing the businesses that pledge via our social media channels, website and in our promotional videos. There will be further promotional opportunities to your organisation through press releases and case studies.

We work in partnership with over 2,500 businesses to offer bespoke training solutions that meet businesses’ needs. Our apprenticeship programme is diverse, offering 98 apprenticeship standards and frameworks, ranging from Level 2 (intermediate) to Level 7 (higher).

Our apprenticeship programme is extremely successful with 90% of our apprentices being offered a job once they have completed their studies.

"Apprenticeships give us a real opportunity to develop home-grown talent in what is otherwise a very competitive marketplace."

Rebecca Kibby, Foot Anstey

"Apprenticeships provide skills to your business which, until now, have not readily been available. So why not support, recruit, invest and employ locally"

Paul Stacey, Ipeco Composites

What businesses say

Unsure on whether or not to hire an apprentice? Listen to what some of the businesses that we work with have to say:

“Weston College has become our ‘go to’ for resource and training support. The level of support the College can provide covers many facets and has proven to be very valuable. Their reach on our behalf into the local communities ensures that we are able to attract the best of the young talent available; made ‘match fit’ by their learnings at the College.”

“Since the selection of Weston College as our training provider, we have been impressed by their professionalism and proactive approach. We have received positive feedback from both the GKN apprentice team, but just as importantly from our apprentices, who have had nothing but positive comments regarding their experience while attending Weston College.”

“We have continued to nurture our relationship with Weston College focusing on apprenticeships and professional qualifications. Thanks to our growing network of contacts we have within the College, we have started to run sector-based work academies to support our recruitment activity, work trials and experience sessions via Team North Somerset. We clearly believe Weston College is a strategic partner as we continue to grow and develop our staff for the future.”

“Our apprentice Sally-Anne has developed strong relationships with the pupils and members of staff, she has great professionalism and operates at a level expected of someone with much more experience.”

“John is our higher-level apprentice and his support for his colleagues has led to a reduction in the care home’s staff turnover and there has been a massive improvement for service users in his unit.”

“Georgia has built very strong relationships with all the children and staff at Lakehouse Nursery, and has become a key member of the team.”

“Harry has brought a lot of new ideas to the job, and works alongside managers to achieve the best results possible.”

“Dan has been able to step up to many new challenges and has even took on many of his former mentor’s roles and responsibilities.”

“Connor’s rapid development means that he is a productive member of the workshop team at Howards Peugeot, completing jobs quickly and accurately which is helping his employer grow and expand.”

“Over the 18 months Ellie has been with the Broad Street team she has developed into an enthusiastic, motivated and dedicated apprentice with a real passion for her work.”

“Harry plays a significant role in the reception team at the hotel. He has helped ensure the smooth running of the reception department and has stepped into a managerial position with ease.”

Halo workplace logo

Our workplace champions the right of staff to embrace all Afro-hairstyles. We acknowledge that Afro-textured hair is an important part of our Black employees’ racial, ethnic, cultural, and religious identities, and requires specific styling for hair health and maintenance. We celebrate Afro-textured hair worn in all styles including, but not limited to, afros, locs, twists, braids, cornrows, fades, hair straightened through the application of heat or chemicals, weaves, wigs, headscarves, and wraps. In this workplace, we recognise and celebrate our colleagues’ identities. We are a community built on an ethos of equality and respect where hair texture and style have no bearing on an employee's ability to succeed.
