Welding Workshop Manager

I have been in the welding industry for the past 14 years and for the majority within the Gas, Oil & Petrochemical Industry and later moving into the Nuclear Power Industry. For the past 6 years I have been training British Soldiers (REME) in Welding and I have been at Weston College training students and adults at levels 1,2 and 3 for the past 18 months.

My advice for students is to be a keen learner and a team player so that you can get the most valuable experience at college. Practice makes perfect!

Being a welder is best described as looking through a dark window at a bright light, it’s all down to you, the welder vs the welding process. There are lots of opportunities in the local area for welding, including Hinkley Point who offer work to a very high welding standard/specification.
