Rachel is a screen printer and artist who creates her own work when not teaching. She has been a textile designer for years, since graduating with a BA (Hons) degree in Printed Textiles and the Decorative Arts. Rachel’s textile designs have sold to many commercial companies and designers including Donna Karan, Liz Claiborne, Next, Mango and Zara, to name but a few. 

Rachel has taken part in various exhibitions, as a solo artist and as part of a collaborative show. She sees teaching as a symbiotic experience where she learns in return. Her advice to students is: 

‘Try to be ambitious and take risks. Work hard, help each other, and be prepared to embrace the happy accidents as this often leads to exciting work and new techniques.’
