Entry Level to Level 2 Qualifications
Many of our Entry Level, Level 1 and Level 2 courses may be fully funded
through the Adult Skills Fund (ASF).
You may qualify for fully funded training if you are aged 19 or over (aged 19 on or before 31st August at the start of the academic year) and:
- Are unemployed and receiving eligible benefits, including:
- Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA)
- Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
- Universal Credit
- Other eligible state benefits
Or
-
Are employed or self-employed and earn below the current Adult Skills Fund
earnings threshold
(currently £25,750 gross annual salary).
Additional Eligibility
You may also qualify if you are:
- Looking to retrain or improve your career prospects;
- Returning to work after a period of unemployment;
- Looking to gain new skills within your current industry; or
-
Studying while released on temporary licence and not funded by the Ministry
of Justice.
Level 3 Qualifications
Some Level 3 qualifications are available fully funded through the
government’s Free Courses for Jobs scheme.
You may qualify if:

You are aged 19 or over (aged 19 on or before 31st August at the start of the academic year);
- Live in England;

Do not already hold a full Level 3 qualification (equivalent to A-levels or
an advanced technical certificate); and
-
The course is included within the government’s approved funding offer.
In some cases, learners who already hold a Level 3 qualification may still be
eligible for funding depending on the course and local funding rules.
Advanced Learner Loans
If you are not eligible for full funding, you may still be able to apply for
an Advanced Learner Loan to help cover course fees for eligible Level 3 and
above qualifications.
