Clarification on Knightstone Campus Autism Support Space

Previous
Next

We are aware of concerns being shared online and want to provide clear reassurance:

  • At Knightstone, we are looking to create a more purposeful, better-equipped low-arousal space that will continue to meet – and over time better meet – the needs of autistic learners.
  • Any future transition will be gradual, carefully managed, and shaped with learner feedback to ensure learners feel safe, comfortable, and supported.
  • Learners will continue to have access to quiet, low-arousal environments at all times.
  • We want to be clear that Weston Bay is not affected and is not closing.
  • Our priority remains ensuring learners have the right support in the right place at the right time.
  • A further update will be shared in the new year once the planning and consultation are complete.

If you have concerns, please contact our Head of Learning Support, Becky King – Rebecca.King@weston.ac.uk
