This course develops the practical skills and technical knowledge needed to diagnose, repair and maintain light vehicles, preparing you for further training or employment in the automotive industry.
COURSE OVERVIEW
This course provides practical and technical training in the diagnosis and rectification of faults across a range of light vehicle systems. You will develop the knowledge and skills needed to identify and resolve faults using appropriate diagnostic equipment, tools, and prescribed inspection methods.
Throughout the course, you will learn how to diagnose and rectify auxiliary electrical faults, engine faults, chassis faults, and transmission and driveline faults. You will also develop your knowledge of inspecting light vehicles using prescribed methods.
The course includes four online examinations, which will assess your knowledge and understanding of vehicle systems, diagnostic procedures, and fault rectification.
On completion of the course, you will have developed the skills and knowledge needed to progress within the automotive industry, whether through further training or employment in vehicle maintenance and repair.

COURSE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
This course is designed for learners who have completed a Level 2 Motor Vehicle or an equivalent qualification.
