Aimee

Aimee has been passionate about media since her A Level studies and has a BA (Hons) degree in Film & Television Studies from Aberystwyth University.  

Aimee trained to become a teacher after graduation and focused on arts, media, and performance. She specialises in the theoretical study of media and has taught on media and film courses in sixth forms, colleges, and universities. Aimee is passionate about inspiring her students, continually introducing concepts, contexts, and examples to help develop their creativity.  

Aimee is an experimental filmmaker in her spare time and has great expertise in the practical creative process of directing and editing. She is a strong advocate for media literacy and diverse media representations, with a keen interest in cult films, LGBTQ+ media and experimental content. Her vast knowledge, passion and experience will help to nurture Weston’s aspiring filmmakers and content creators.        

Likes: cats, thought-provoking films, rhubarb and custard 

Dislikes: spiders, creative boundaries
