I retrained as a Plumber just over 16 years ago and I have been teaching for 11 years! I worked at another local college for 6 years and have been in my role as Plumbing Lecturer at Weston College for 5.

What inspires me the most about working in education is seeing a learner succeed after giving their all even if they might struggle, seeing them never give up and gain their qualifications is truly incredible!

My advice to any students is to engage as much as you can in lessons and always ask questions! Give yourself the best opportunities. Don't be afraid to fail and never give up!

The Plumbing industry is always moving in different directions and you will always be learning new things! This industry is becoming more sustainable so even those with years of knowledge are having to adapt and learn.
