Nicola
Hairdressing and Barbering Lecturer
I have been a hairdressing Lecturer at Weston College for four years, I have a passion for hairdressing and specialise in advanced colour and cutting. I have been hairdressing for 18 years and trained at Toni and Guy in Bristol and London. I worked there for 8 year before going on to a management role at another hairdressing salon. I still work within the industry alongside my role at the College.
I trained as an assessor 13 years ago and have since then thoroughly enjoyed teaching the next generation of hairdressers. I am so inspired by seeing my leaners flourish and go on to have successful careers in this wonderful industry!
Advice I would give to learners would be to never stop learning! Use your passion for hair to aspire to be the best version of yourself. Use your tutors experience and knowledge to help guide you into the best direction. Research the Hairdressing industry and introduce yourself to local salons and ask for any work experience!
