Engineering Fitter Apprentice at Parker Meggitt
1. Health and safety of self and others at all times.
2. Surface preparation of composite radomes.
3. Measuring and marking out requirements to meet manufacturing drawing and internal documentation requirements.
4. Fitting of metallic components to composite radomes through a range of methods such as bonding, riveting and fastening.
5. Completion of manufacturing paperwork to document activities as part of key audit paperwork trail.
6. Identifying process improvement opportunities to enable time and cost savings in the production method, as well as improve product quality.

Alongside your day role, you will work to complete your apprenticeship with your external training provider, Weston College. You will be given 20% off the job hours, this will give you the knowledge, training and external approval to do your job effectively.
Upon successful completion of the programme — and subject to performance — you may have the opportunity to move into a permanent role within the team or business area where you completed your apprenticeship.
