WHAT DOES THIS COURSE INVOLVE
The IMI Motor Vehicle Diploma Level 1 offers a flexible curriculum that allows you to choose specific areas of focus to develop your knowledge and skills. Throughout the course, you will learn a range of engineering principles relevant to motor vehicle maintenance and repair. Additionally, you will also be taught the importance of health and safety, both for yourself and others in the workplace. Furthermore, the programme provides valuable information about the career opportunities available in the motor vehicle industry. By the end of the course, you will have a solid foundation to pursue further education or start your career in this exciting field.
You will be assessed through workshop observations, an e-portfolio, and an online multiple-choice questionnaire.
Learners can typically progress to a higher level of learning such as a Level 2 Certificate or Diploma and supplement their progress to apprenticeships and employment.
A minimum of five GCSEs at grade 3-1 with at least two at grade 3 or the successful completion of a pre-vocational programme.
