Womens Hairdressing, Fast-track Diploma
This qualification will prepare you for employment as a junior hairdresser or stylist.
You’ll cover a range of units including:
- Health and safety
- Client consultation
- Shampooing and conditioning hair
- A research unit - working in the hair industry
- Cutting women's hair
- Colouring and lightening hair
- The art of dressing hair.
You’ll also develop your knowledge and skills by selecting several optional specialist units which include reception duties; creating an image based on a theme; promoting products and services to clients; and perming and colouring hair.
How will I be assessed?
For practical elements you will be observed by your tutor. During the course you will also work on a portfolio of evidence.

Entry Requirements
Hold a related subject qualification at Level 1 or hold 5 GCSEs at grade 9-2 with at least 2 at grade 4. Relevant experience may also be satisfactory and will be considered for all applicants.
