King’s Trust Team Programme

Looking to build confidence, boost your skills, and figure out your next steps? The King's Trust programmes offer a 4 or 12 week course for 16–25 year olds who want to push themselves, meet new people, and discover what they’re capable of.

Course Overview

Over 6 or 12 weeks, you could find yourself:

  • Trying new challenges (like climbing, abseiling, and more).

  • Working with a team to make a real difference in your community.

  • Gaining work experience to test out different industries.

  • Building your CV, practice interview skills, and get ready for your future.

  • Celebrating everything you’ve achieved with friends, family, and supporters.

What the 4 Weeks Look Like

Week 1 – Induction to the programme and Wellbeing focusing on emotional wellbeing, physical wellbeing, stress and improving your own wellbeing

Week 2 – Managing Money, saving and borrowing options, money matter and the world of work, providers of help and advice on money management

Week 3 – Customer Experience, features of good customer experience, organisations and services provided, reviewing customer service

Week 4 – Next steps - Focus on learners progressions and next steps.

What the 12 Weeks Look Like

Week 1 – Getting started Kick things off by setting your own goals and planning for the weeks ahead. You’ll also get ready for the big residential trip in Week 2.

Week 2 – Adventure residential Head out to Dartmoor Activity Centre for a week of adventure. From abseiling and orienteering to rock climbing and hiking, you’ll try loads of new things and work together as a team.

Weeks 3–6 – Community project Choose a project as a group that benefits your local community and make it happen. This will give you something powerful to talk about in future interviews.

Weeks 7–8 Work experience Test out different jobs and industries, see what you enjoy, and gain experience you can put on your CV.

Week 9 – Planning your future This week’s all about you. Build a strong CV, practice interviews, and start making applications for your next step.

Weeks 10–11 Team challenge Take on another challenge as a group — this time focused on helping others in the community. Put everything you’ve learned so far into practice.

Week 12 – Celebration Wrap up the programme by presenting your journey to friends, family, and supporters. This is your chance to show how far you’ve come and trust us, you’ll surprise yourself.

Bus Driver Training - Skills Bootcamp

We’re offering FREE Bus/Coach training for those who are wanting to find employment or those who want a new and exciting career change which could see you secure a new job.

COurse OVerview

If you're looking to become a Bus/Coach driver, this Bootcamp will support you to gain your PCV Cat D Licence – this will allow you to drive a Bus or Coach with more than 16 passengers and with trailers up to 750kg.

You don’t need any previous experience, or qualifications, but to be eligible you must be unemployed and able to present your driver’s licences on enrolment.

IT For Beginners

Increase your knowledge and develop your IT skills! This 3-week course is designed for anyone who struggles using I.T and would like to build confidence in using Digital technology in everyday life.

What will I study?

The course covers the following topics with full tutor support throughout –

Skills Bootcamp: ESOL Vocational – Logistics & Warehousing

Improve your English and gain your forklift license for a career in logistics This 6-week Skills Bootcamp helps ESOL learners build the confidence, technical skills, and industry-specific English needed to begin work in warehousing and logistics.

The course includes ITSSAR Forklift Operator Training, and an interview with an employer.

Skills Bootcamps are free, flexible courses, giving people the opportunity to build up sector-specific skills and an offer of an interview with an employer upon completion.
