Weston College is proud to announce an exciting collaboration with Premier Education, the UK’s No.1 provider of sport and physical activity to primary schools. Representatives from Premier Education visited Weston College to engage with Level 2 and Level 3 Sports learners, offering valuable insights into potential apprenticeships within the sector and outlining clear progression paths beyond their current courses.

Weston College recently celebrated the success of a secondary school athletics tournament held at the Hutton Moor Leisure Centre. The event, organised in collaboration with the North Somerset Schools Partnership for Educational Athletics (NSSPEA), brought together 12 secondary schools from North Somerset, involving over 250 students on the day.

Weston College’s Sports students organised and executed a multi-sport event organised as part of a comprehensive project contributing to their qualification. The students displayed exceptional organisational skills and leadership capabilities during a practice run, where they hosted a multi-skills event for local Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools.

Weston College's sports students were treated to a great opportunity as they welcomed Becky York, a distinguished figure from the Invictus Games, as their guest speaker. The event, saw Becky share her remarkable journey from serving in the Marines to achieving remarkable success in the Invictus Games arena.

Former Weston College student Beth Cottle has been named Somerset County FA Young Volunteer of the Year! This remarkable achievement recognizes Beth's outstanding contribution to coaching young talents within the community. 

Weston College has teamed up with Weston-super-Mare AFC to continue providing players aged under sixteen to under nineteen with a joint Academic and Football Pathway within North Somerset and the South West. 

Weston College will monitor and support players through their Academic Pathway to ensure they have the skills and qualifications necessary, providing a solid foundation for any player within this programme.
