Sport Learners Hold Football Festival for Westhaven School
Last week Sport learners held another instalment in their series of sports and exercise festivals.
The festivals are a fantastic initiative put in place in order to engage local schools and boost the presence of inclusive sport practice within the community.
Jack Makes Somerset Debut at Royal London Cup
Jack, a former sports student at Weston College, has recently made his debut in this year’s Royal London Cup at the Oval. At just 18 years old, Jack impressed in the match against Surrey, claiming two for 33.
International Recognition for Academy Athletes
Our extra curricular sports academies provide athletes with outstanding opportunities. We are extremely pleased and excited to announce a third student has gained international honours this year. Bailey Kempster, part of our under 19s football programme, has recently been selected for the England colleges football team.
As well as impressing the academy and senior coaches at our partner club Weston-super-Mare AFC, Bailey has had a successful first two seasons playing national youth alliance football.

At Weston College we understand the importance of creating pathways for our athletes, to support progression. Therefore we have developed a partnerships with Weston-super-Mare AFC which can enable players in our Football Academy to progress into semi-professional football.
