The Association of Project Management is a Chartered Membership Organisation for the profession and boasts over 45,000 members worldwide. Weston College, hold accreditation from APM (Association for Project Management) for the delivery of the APM Project Fundaments Qualification. This demonstrates that we meet the high standards of the profession's-chartered organisation and maintain a commitment to our learner’s experience and continuous improvement.
Who is the PFQ for?
The Project Fundamentals Qualification is suitable for those wanting a broad understanding of the principles of project management. You may or may not already be working in a project management role.

What is you will learn and be assessed on:
The syllabus assesses the key elements of the project management lifecycle and covers knowledge areas from the APM Body of Knowledge 7th Edition including:
- Planning and scheduling
- Communication
- Teamwork
- Resource Management
- Project Risk Management
- Project Reviews
Assessment:
- The PFQ is a one hour, 60-question, multiple-choice exam.
- The exam is taken in invigilated exam conditions.
Progression:
Following completion of the Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ) you will be eligible to progress on to the next stage of qualification the Association for Project Management, Project Management Qualification (PMQ). The PMQ offers the next stage in your journey to chartered status.

Date: Monday 8th June till 9th June 2026 Time: 9am till 5pm, face to face Location: UCW Campus, The Wintergardens, North, Royal Parade, Weston Super Mare, BS23 1AJ Exam: The exam will take place at the end of day two of the course (attendance on day 1 and 2 of the course is mandatory) Cost: £795 per person (cost of exam is included in the price, although resits are chargeable) Eligibility: You do not need any prior knowledge or experience for this qualification
