Engineering and Manufacturing, T Level
This high-quality T Level Engineering programme can lead to an exciting career as an engineer. The qualification offers both a practical and academic focus and will provide you with skills, knowledge and understanding of subjects such as design, project, maths, materials and manufacturing principles within our Engineering Centre workshops and laboratories.
The qualification is made up of a technical qualification and an industry placement within an Engineering setting.
Game and Animation Production, UAL Extended Diploma
The UAL Extended Diploma focuses on animation and video games – officially the fastest-growing medium in the media industry. You will learn the skills needed to thrive in this exciting new environment and study individual products, as well as how the animation and game industry operates and functions.
Performance Arts, UAL Diploma
This course will develop a solid skill base in all areas of the Performing and Production Arts industry. You will have the opportunity to understand and experience the many possible career paths within this exciting industry.
Accounts/Finance Assistant, Apprenticeship
The Level 2 apprenticeship provides valuable workplace skills and experience, while you earn a wage. You will spend 4 days a week with an employer and one day or two evenings a week at college to learn the theoretical elements of the role. You will undertake a number of qualifications including the AAT Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Accounting. This programme covers a range of topics such as bookkeeping and costing etc. We will also work with you to develop your maths and English skills.
Accounting, T Level
T Levels are equivalent to 3 A Levels and are brand new two-year courses, developed in collaboration with employers and providers so that the content meets the needs of industry and prepares learners for the world of work.
T Levels offer learners a mixture of classroom learning and ‘on-the-job’ experience during an industry placement of at least 45 days. They will provide the knowledge and experience needed to open the door into skilled careers in management, business, business support roles and administration and/or higher apprenticeship or further education.
Hospitality Team Member, Apprenticeship
A hospitality team member can work in a range of establishments, for example bars, restaurants, cafés, conference centres, banqueting venues, hotels or contract caterers.
The role is very varied and although hospitality team members tend to specialise in an area, they have to be adaptable and ready to support team members across the business, for example during busy periods.
Hospitality Supervisory and Leadership, Diploma
The VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Food and Beverage Service Supervision is an occupational qualification that builds on existing knowledge and skills of food and beverage service to prepares you for a career as a supervisor or manager in hospitality.
This qualification is based on national standards and is formally supported by a range of hospitality businesses and the Institute of Hospitality
Supported Internship: Into Work
Supported Internships provide an individualised programme of study for 16 to 24 year olds with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) with an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP), who want to move into employment and need extra support to do so.
The programme has one primary aim which is to: wherever possible support young people to move into paid employment.
The programme will usually run for one year, where individualised programmes of study are developed around learners EH&CP outcomes in order to prepare them for adulthood.
A purpose-built, safe, self-contained, specialist facility at Weston College’s Knightstone Campus for students with Profound and Complex Learning Disabilities (PCLD).
Where appropriate to the individual, students will also be able to access the many other student facilities across the College, including the library and Bistro.
