Callum progressed from a Level 2 programme to the Digital Production, Design and Development T Level, excelling academically. During his Lloyds Banking Group placement, he developed a software tool now used by their data team and won the South West T Level Placement of the Year.

Where are they now?

Callum is now a Degree Apprentice with Lloyds Banking Group.

Olivia

Olivia joined the Level 2 Creative Media Production course and has demonstrated remarkable growth in confidence, creativity, and technical skill. Specialising in cinematography, she has developed a distinctive visual style, thoughtful composition, and strong storytelling ability.

Her final film being screened at Cineworld alongside degree-level work. This highlights her talent, professionalism, and creative maturity.

Izzy

Izzy overcame significant challenges with English and past setbacks to finally achieve full Level 2 Functional Skills. Through determination, support, and persistent effort, she progressed in her bricklaying course, showing commitment, resilience, and a positive, supportive attitude toward her peers.

Where are they now?

Izzy is now studying on the Level 2 Diploma in Bricklaying.

Esther

Esther joined Weston College with no prior qualifications but impressed tutors and was offered a place on L2 Art. She achieved Distinction in her course and completed Level 1 and 2 Maths Functional Skills, showing exceptional dedication, confidence, and a positive impact on the college community.

Aidan

Aidan has been an exemplary student, progressing through Health and Social Care L1 to L3 and serving as a positive role model. His caring, supportive approach has benefited care home residents and Weston's homeless community, demonstrating his dedication and impact beyond the classroom.

Jessie

This month, our Health & Social Care students took part in Future Skills Week, a week full of hands-on workshops, employer visits and essential training to ensure our students gain the crucial skills required for a career in the industry.  

Josh

During his first year at Weston College, Josh represented the academy U19 team, the 1st team, and attended England Colleges trials.

He played in all league fixtures and captained the team on multiple occasions, earning a 1st team contract with Weston-super-Mare AFC for this academic year.

Beyond football, Josh has coached younger players at Weston Football Club and supported local primary schools through his sports course. His achievements reflect his talent, dedication, and exceptional work ethic.

Thomas

Tom began the year uncertain about his next vocational path but demonstrated remarkable resilience and focus. He passed his Maths GCSE, engaged fully in activities like DofE and E-sports, supported peers, and volunteered with Explorers, showing determination, leadership, and a positive attitude throughout.
