Health Supporting Adult Nurse Team, T Level
Are you passionate about helping others and interested in a future in healthcare? The T Level in Supporting the Adult Nursing Team gives you the chance to begin your journey into an exciting and fast-growing sector. Designed for students who want a hands-on, career-focused alternative to A Levels, this two-year qualification blends classroom learning with real clinical experience, giving you the confidence, skills, and insight needed to start shaping your career in health.
Course Overview
Delivered at Knightstone Campus, the T Level in Supporting the Adult Nursing Team allows you to explore the foundations of health, science, and clinical practice during your first year. You’ll study core topics such as person-centred care, health and wellbeing, safe working practices, data handling, and professional standards within the health and science sector. These units build the essential knowledge required for your specialist occupational training.
In your second year, you will focus on your chosen occupational specialism: supporting the adult nursing team. This includes learning how to assist nurses with clinical tasks, observe and monitor patients, follow infection-control procedures, and communicate effectively within multidisciplinary teams. You’ll also deepen your understanding of anatomy, physiology, and the regulations that shape safe healthcare practice.
T Levels offer a high-quality technical alternative to A Levels, created in partnership with employers to ensure the course reflects the latest developments and real expectations of the healthcare sector. Equivalent to three A Levels, this programme provides an in-depth blend of theory, technical knowledge, and professional practice, preparing you for progression into adult nursing, healthcare support roles, apprenticeships, or further study.
Practical experience is a key part of your T Level. Over the two years, you will complete substantial industry placements, including a social care placement in your first year and clinical placements within the local health trust or community healthcare services in your second year. These placements allow you to apply your skills in real settings such as NHS hospitals, wards, clinics, and community teams – giving you invaluable insight into the realities of working in healthcare.
Alongside expert teaching, you’ll benefit from state-of-the-art facilities at Knightstone Campus, strong employer partnerships, specialist masterclasses, and opportunities to engage with practising healthcare professionals. As a Microsoft Showcase College, we also ensure that you develop modern digital skills that enhance your learning and prepare you for the demands of today’s healthcare sector.
