Art, A Level
Art A Level will develop your artistic skills and open doors to a creative career. Throughout this programme, you will have the opportunity to explore a wide range of artistic processes and techniques, both traditional and experimental. Our comprehensive curriculum covers various art forms, including drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture and 3D, graphics, new media, and creative software. You'll have the chance to delve into each of these areas and specialise in the ones that resonate most with your individual talents and interests.

- Exploring different areas of art, including drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, graphics, and more.
- Visiting local and national galleries to investigate historical and contemporary artists.
- Building context in your work and communicating visual language through the application of the formal elements of art and design.
- Producing a substantial amount of work outside of sessions and demonstrating critical contextual understanding through written, visual, and other forms. This programme is part of a Sixth Form offer, learners typically choose three or four A Level subjects to study over a two-year period. How will I be assessed?
In your second year, you will complete coursework (60%) and a controlled assignment (40%).
