It’s T Levels Week so we want to discuss the different progression routes students can take after completing a T Level and the benefits they have on future careers. 

T Levels were officially launched in September 2020 but have already proved to be an excellent pathway for many learners, allowing them to progress onto apprenticeships, degree apprenticeships, university and full-time employment.  

Leadership & Management

This 5 day course has been designed as initial training for aspiring team leaders, supervisors, managers or persons in leadership and management roles without any prior training. This is an unaccredited course and provides an initial toolkit without lengthy assignments or exams.

Last week, Weston College opened its doors to new and returning students as they embarked on the start of the new academic year.  

Over three days, each CEH area welcomed first-year students with a wide variety of activities designed to help them settle in, build friendships, and get familiar with both their learning environment and the tools they’ll be using throughout their studies. 

Bookkeeping, Award

Start your journey to becoming a qualified Bookkeeper! Students will develop an understanding of the role of the bookkeeper, including the need to produce timely and accurate work and to follow ethical principles.

Course Overview

You will learn the underpinning theory including how to identify assets, liabilities, income, expenses, capital, profit and loss and the differences between trading for cash and trading on credit. You will develop skills to process customer and supplier transactions, enter receipts and payments, prepare bank reconciliations.

Association for Project Management (APM)

The Association of Project Management is a Chartered Membership Organisation for the profession and boasts over 45,000 members worldwide.
We are Weston College, we hold accreditation from APM (Association for Project Management) for the delivery of the APM Project Management Qualification. This demonstrates that we meet the high standards of the profession's chartered organisation and maintain a commitment to our learner’s experience and continuous improvement.

Accounting, AAT Diploma

This AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) advanced level course is a mid-level accounting qualification, ideal for anyone who is looking to advance their existing knowledge of accounting. This flexible course is delivered partially through a face to face in college lesson each week and with further study online at home.

Will Creswick has marked the end of his 18-month apprenticeship with estate agency CJ Hole by earning his Customer Service Level 2 Practitioner qualification - and has been offered a full-time position on the spot!

Will began his apprenticeship soon after completing GCSEs at The Kings Academy in Cheddar. Under the guidance of his apprenticeship assessor Georgina, Will has balanced his apprenticeship assignments with on-the-job training at CJ Hole’s Burnham office.
