Course Overview

The Level 2 Bricklaying Technical Diploma is a two-year, full-time course designed for learners looking to build on existing skills and progress in the construction industry. You’ll develop advanced bricklaying techniques, including complex patterns, arch construction, specialised mortar mixes, and intricate structures, while also strengthening your construction maths, technical vocabulary, and understanding of building methods. Health and safety, teamwork, and professional communication are central to your learning, alongside the ability to read and interpret detailed construction drawings and plans.

Training takes place at Weston College’s South West Skills Campus, where purpose-built workshops, an industry-standard materials testing lab, outdoor construction arenas, and modern tools and software create a real-world learning environment.
