You'll delve into each of these areas, gaining a deep understanding of the theories and frameworks that underpin them. You'll also learn how businesses operate in a global context, considering the impact of globalisation, technological advancements, and ethical considerations on business decision-making.
Our Sixth Form, located at Loxton Campus, is designed to provide you with a stimulating learning environment. You'll have access to modern facilities, including dedicated business classrooms and boardrooms equipped with up-to-date resources and technology. We'll support you in finding suitable placements or provide a week of experiences within the College that align with your career aims.
In the first year of your A Level programme, you will study towards an AS Level. AS Levels are nationally recognised, standalone qualifications completed at the end of Year 1. AS Levels provide a baseline understanding of the subject before delving deeper in the second year of A Level.
This option allows flexibility for learners who wish to study four subjects to achieve an AS Level qualification in Year 1 and then continue three subjects to full A Level in Year 2. AS Levels hold UCAS points which can support your progression to university.' We have a dedicated FAQ section on our website regarding AS Levels that should help answer any additional questions you may have.
Throughout the course, you'll have the chance to participate in business-related activities, such as business competitions, entrepreneurial projects, and visits to local and national businesses. These experiences will broaden your horizons, deepen your understanding of business operations, and enable you to apply your knowledge in practical settings. You'll be taught by experienced teachers who are passionate about business and bring real-world industry experience to the classroom. Our engaging learning environment encourages active discussions, critical thinking, and collaborative learning, allowing you to benefit from the diverse perspectives and experiences of your classmates.
In the first year of your course, you'll have the opportunity to follow a pathway that aligns with your career aspirations. Pathways include cyber, media, and young enterprise, and will provide you with additional skills and experiences to enhance your career prospects.
