Access to HE: Veterinary Science and Zoology
This course is designed for people aged 17 - 18 and is perfect for anyone looking to start a career in the veterinary, zoology, life sciences or any animal or land-based career, or considering changing careers to work in these fields.

Assessment Methods
The Access to HE Diploma is designed to reflect the rigour and demands of undergraduate study. It includes a range of assessment methods such as essays, reports, in class exams, presentations, and portfolios. There is also a practical animal element to the course providing you with the opportunity to handle and work with a wide range of domestic and exotic animals.
Study Time
The course is in college, face to face on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays from 9am to 4.45pm at Knightstone Campus Conference Centre, but will include regular visits within those times to our Animal Management Campus at Puxton Park for you to put your learning to practice. Please note that Access courses require at least one day per week in addition to your timetabled sessions of independent study and applicants must be able to commit to that. ##Work Placement
All learners will be expected to undertake a related work placement of at least 37 hours during the year.

Entry Requirements
GSCE English Grade 4/C is recommended, and maths is also recommended if chemistry is chosen as an option. We will consider equivalent qualifications, but the applicant must check that their equivalents will be accepted for entry to their chosen university and will continue to work towards GCSEs in both subjects during the Access course.
Financing Your Course
If you are under 19 at the start of the course it will be fully funded.
