Counselling, Certificate
This course is designed for people aged over 19 years and is essential if you are hoping to pursue a career in counselling. The Level 2 Counselling certificate is also valuable to learners who want to develop counselling skills to help them in roles such as children’s care, health and social care, or learning and development.
If you have a range of life experiences and wish to channel them into supporting others then counselling is a great career choice, and this course will help you take the next step in working towards a rewarding counselling role.
You will benefit from being taught, and supported, by our highly trained staff, who have years of experience within the sector. They will encourage you to develop self-awareness skills to enable you to support others through a client-centred approach.
You will learn about creative methods of exploration and techniques to manage common behaviours. You will develop effective skills to support people with the pressures they may experience. You will develop core communication skills, learn about theories and processes, and be given the opportunity to practice a variety of strategies.

Assessment method
The course is assessed through assignment work and a practical demonstration of counselling skills.
Progression opportunities
Successful completion of this course will enable you to progress to Level 3 in Counselling.

Entry Requirements
Hold a related subject qualification at Level 1 or hold 5 GCSEs at grade 9-2 with at least 2 at grade 4. Relevant experience may also be satisfactory and will be considered for all applicants.
