This week, one of our third-year Plumbing & Heating Technician apprentices, Jack Winstone, has been awarded a prestigious £1,000 bursary for tools from the Worshipful Company of Plumbers in partnership with Monument Tools. This bursary is one of only six awarded nationally, making Jack’s achievement particularly remarkable.

To celebrate AoC Colleges Week and International Women’s Day, Weston College wants to recognise the journey of one of our employees, India Pasby. From starting at Weston Bay to achieving a Distinction in her Level 2 Customer Service Apprenticeship, India’s journey at Weston College has been truly inspirational. She not only grew in confidence and developed her communication skills, but she has now secured a full-time position within Weston College’s Reception Customer Service team.

This month, we’re celebrating Joshua Fiddler, a former Weston College learner who’s now making waves as a Business Analyst at BT. Joshua first gained recognition as our Business Administration Apprentice of the Year in 2017, and his journey since then has been inspiring. 

We caught up with him to learn more about his path and what he’s up to now.

Weston College is celebrating the launch of its first cohort of Engineering Foundation Apprenticeships, with 21 learners enrolling with GKN Aerospace this week. This represents almost two thirds of all Foundation Apprenticeship starts nationally since the programme launched in August 2025.

We spoke with Müller about the Leadership and Management apprenticeships they offer through Weston College, designed to develop their employee's skills and support career progression.

Could you briefly introduce Müller and the work the organisation does?

Leadership isn’t really about job titles. It’s about making good decisions under pressure, bringing people with you, and turning plans into day-to-day action. In a fast-moving labour market, those skills don’t develop by accident. They need time, practice and real responsibility. That idea underpins how Weston College approaches leadership and management training.
