Earlier this week, a very special event took place within the 16–18 ESOL programme, as our courageous students ran their very own version of Dragon's Den.

The project began last term, initiated by the dedicated ESOL staff as part of an employment-focused programme covering a wide range of workplace-related topics.

Dean Owen, a Year 2 Level 3 Uniformed Protective Services (UPS) student at Weston College, has secured a fantastic scholarship to become an Officer in the British Army, an ambition he’s pursued since the age of 14. This scholarship not only allows him to complete a university qualification, but also sets him on a direct path to leadership within the Army.

Max and Kieran, two Brickwork Construction students from Weston College, recently demonstrated their skill and professionalism at the South West Skills (SWS) Challenge Construction event held at Yeovil College.

Three Sport students from Weston College recently competed in the Somerset Schools' Golf Championship, held at Weston Golf Club on March 19th. The event brought together over 100 talented students from across Somerset, all competing for a place in the prestigious South West Championships. 

A group of Year 1 T-Level Design, Surveying, and Planning for Construction learners recently welcomed two guest speakers, Sam Lillywhite and Katie Corbett, from the Bristol-based construction company, Bray & Slaughter.
