Travelling to College
JOINING US IN SEPTEMBER – HERE’S THE LOW-DOWN ON ALL OUR TRANSPORT SERVICES
All of our campuses are easily accessible by road, train and bus. Weston-super-Mare’s main station is on the main line between Bristol and Exeter, and all three of our main sites are close to bus stops.
GETTING TO COLLEGE BY BUS
Weston College students have a choice of two bus operators in order to meet the needs and travel patterns of all students.
We offer you the choice of two subsidised bus travel passes - which you choose will depend on where you are travelling from and whether you wish to use the service outside of college hours. Both passes are in the form of an app and allow you to track journeys, as well as the operators working with us to provide the most sustainable transport offer to our students.
First Bus mTicket
Our First Bus Pass offer is one of the most generous in the area and gives you substantial discounts on travel across the West of England. The mTicket is valid on all local First Group buses 24 hours a day during term-times and comes in either a five-day or seven-day option.

Bakers Dolphin Passenger App
We have continued to expand the number of direct coach services to the College. These services provide a direct inward and outward journey every day of the academic year to all of our campuses. All students need to do is purchase directly via the Bakers Dolphin passenger app or their website.
We now operate direct routes via Bakers Dolphin from:
Bridgwater, Blagdon, Cheddar, Clevedon, Nailsea, Portishead.
We have a great relationship with Bakers Dolphin and their app even allows students to put in requests for additional stops and if this is feasible then changes to the route to accommodate will be made.
When can I buy my bus pass for September 2023 and how much will they cost?
We will be releasing bus passes via our two partners in June, so keep an eye out for further details. We are yet to confirm our prices for 2023/24, but do not see there being much change to the 22/23 pricing structure below:
First Bus 5-day mTicket per term £90.00
First Bus 7-day mTicket per term £135.00
First Bus Apprentice 17 week mTicket £135.00
Bakers Dolphin term pass £90.00
GETTING TO COLLEGE BY TRAIN
All campuses are in walking distance of Weston-super-Mare train station, alternatively a short bus journey via the First Bus network is also available. The vast majority of our students can access railcards that provide up to half price off on train travel.

GOT ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT TRAVELLING TO COLLEGE
Please contact our school liaison team via schoolteam@weston.ac.uk or contact the College on 01934 411411.
We are of course aware of some of the recent challenges around the local council-owned transport routes and are working with all parties including the council to get the best travel package for our students. This is why we increased our own travel routes with Bakers Dolphin in the 2022/23 academic year and continually review our services.
