Level 3
Engineering and Manufacturing, T Level
Shape the future of technology by designing the products of tomorrow. If you love designing, planning, and solving problems, this T Level gives you the chance to explore the creative and technical side of engineering. You’ll learn how products are designed, tested, and developed – and gain real industry experience through a substantial work placement.
Course Overview
This two-year programme combines classroom learning with hands-on project work and meaningful industry experience. You’ll study at the South West Skills Campus, using advanced labs, CAD suites, and engineering workshops. The course is designed with employers to ensure you develop the skills that modern engineering and design companies need.
As a student, you will automatically join our Engineering & Green Skills Career Excellence Hub, providing access to employer networking, industry visits, guest lectures, and career-focused activities to ensure you are fully prepared for your next steps. This course equips you not just with specific skills, but with the broader knowledge and confidence needed for a successful career in this industry.
You will be guided by expert lecturers with extensive industry experience who will help you develop the skills to work safely, accurately, and professionally – just as you would in a real engineering environment.
T Levels offer a high-quality technical alternative to A Levels. Developed in collaboration with employers, they ensure that students gain the precise knowledge and skills the industry is looking for. Each T Level is equivalent to three A Levels, demonstrating the depth and thoroughness of the qualification.
