I wanted to learn a trade I could use to set up my own business so that I could work the hours I need to and have quality time with my family too.

My teachers have given me so much help – when I struggle with English words, or with new ways of plastering, they are always supportive and always have the answers.

I am now doing the higher-level course so that I can learn as much as I can, and gain as much experience as I can before I set up my business. I know as and when I’m ready, the College will give me the help I need to progress with my future.

The workshops at the South West Skills Campus are packed with all the tools, equipment, and supplies I could ever want to practice and develop new electrical skills, and computers are freely available for my theory lessons.

Support is always available too – whenever I have encountered any issues in my studies, the staff have always helped me and shown me that a solution can be found."
