Last week, Weston College opened its doors to new and returning students as they embarked on the start of the new academic year.  

Over three days, each CEH area welcomed first-year students with a wide variety of activities designed to help them settle in, build friendships, and get familiar with both their learning environment and the tools they’ll be using throughout their studies.

Three Sport students from Weston College recently competed in the Somerset Schools' Golf Championship, held at Weston Golf Club on March 19th. The event brought together over 100 talented students from across Somerset, all competing for a place in the prestigious South West Championships.

The session offered valuable insight into the field of sport psychology, as Marcus shared his personal journey, answered industry-related questions, and delivered a dynamic workshop designed to deepen students' understanding of the career paths available to them.

Louis

Louis was instrumental in the U19 football team’s top league finish and helped the U18 team win the floodlit league in his first year.

At just 18, he represented the first team in the county cup. He also coached youth teams, led academy sessions, and graduated with a 3-merit profile. He now continues striving for first-team honours.

Phebe

Phebe excelled at Weston College, achieving top marks in sport and exercise science with a triple distinction star.As a tutor group spokesperson, she supported peers and gained experience shadowing a podiatrist and physiotherapist. She also worked in a care home, engaging residents through games and piano.Now, she is pursuing a PE and Sport degree at Stranmillis University.
